TeachPro ZW is a record of marks, report card and schemes of work app for teachers. This policy explains what happens to the information you put into it.
Everything you enter (classes, learners' names and details, marks, report cards, timetables, schemes of work, lesson plans and notes) is saved only on your phone, tablet or computer, protected by your PIN. The Android app does not have internet access: it cannot send your information anywhere, and we never receive it. There are no accounts, no advertising and no analytics or tracking. If you have turned on your phone's own Google backup, Android may include the app's data in that backup, which is kept in your Google account, not by us.
When you choose to export a backup, save a PDF or Word file, or send a file (for example a marks file to your class teacher on WhatsApp), the file goes only where you choose to send it, using your phone's own sharing. Keep backups and shared files safe, as they contain your learners' information.
For licence codes the app shows a device number. It is made on your device from Android's app-specific device identifier, scrambled so it cannot be turned back into that identifier. It is only shown to you; it is sent to us only if you choose to send it (for example on WhatsApp) to get a code.
If you allow notifications, the app reminds you of your own lessons and tasks. These reminders are set and shown on your device only.
Teachers enter information about their learners. Keep it only as long as your school needs it, and delete classes you no longer need. Uninstalling the app deletes its data from the device, so export a backup first if you want to keep it.
The teacher swops page at teachpro.co.zw/swop is separate from the app and is stored on our website. When you post a swop we keep your name, mobile number, subject, years of teaching, where you teach, where you want to go, your note and, if you give it, your school. Everyone can see your first name and surname initial, subject and places. Your full name, phone number and school are shown only to teachers who have posted their own swop, so they can contact you about a swop. Your PIN is stored scrambled. Your swop is hidden when you mark it as found or pause it, and stops showing after 4 months unless you renew it. You can delete it at any time with "Delete my swop", which removes it from our database. We do not sell or share this information. To ask us to remove your information, WhatsApp +263 77 335 9000.
